  • Annual Shooting Permit for the Elk Neck State Forest Range

    Elk Neck State Forest Yearly Range Permits can also be purchased from any authorized Sport License Sales agent or online at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Sport License Sales.  Annual Permits for users ages 18 to 61 are $50 and over age 62 are $25 (Senior).  Anyone under 18 years of age is free when accompanied by a paying adult. Day-use permits cost $10 and can be purchased from a self-service honor system located at the Maintenance Complex.

  • Forest Conservation Act - Qualified Professional

    Forest Stand Delineations (FSD) and Forest Conservation Plans (FCP) required by the Forest Conservation Act must be prepared by a licensed forester, licensed landscape architect, or other qualified professionals. Individuals who are not licensed foresters or licensed landscape architects may become "Qualified Professionals" capable of conducting forest delineations or writing conservation plans by meeting certain educational and work-experience criteria and completing a DNR approved forest conservation course.
