General Info - Statewide Certification

Persons selling live bait that is used in Liberty, Prettyboy or Loch Raven reservoirs must obtain bait that is certified free of zebra mussels or larvae, to prevent the spread of this invasive species in Maryland waters.

Before selling bait from out-of-state suppliers, bait dealers selling in this region must obtain a Zebra-Mussel-Free Certification from the intended supplier, and submit this information with a completed application.
