General Info - Statewide License

Maryland license which ensures that non-coal mining operations meet the Department's environmental standards, have proper credentials, have acceptable track records in Maryland and elsewhere, and meet financial accountability requirements. 

Maryland requires that anyone responsible for a surface mining operation obtain a license from the Department.
