General Info - Statewide Permit
A Part 70 Operating Permit is required for any new major source of emissions in the State of Maryland.
A new ethanol production facility that is subject to either a major NSR approval or a PSD approval, or both, is required to obtain a Part 70 Operating Permit.

Submission of an application for this permit is due within 12 months after the new major source commences operations. A State Permit to Operate is issued in the interim to a major ethanol production facility until a Part 70 Operating Permit is issued.
