365-Day Private Waterfront Property Crab Pot Registration
General Info - Statewide Registration
Free required registration for waterfront property owners in the state of Maryland to use a maximum of 2 crab pots per property, regardless of the number of owners or lessees of the property.
This license does NOT count as a recreational crabbing license. A license is not needed to use properly registered crab pots, but if you do not have a license you are limited to the unlicensed crabber catch limits. Private property crab pots set in the Atlantic Ocean, coastal bays and their tributaries DO NOT need to be registered.
