Sign Language Interpreter Agency Application

Use this application to apply for a Sign Language Interpreter Agency registration as governed by the Governor's Executive Order 2024.

⚠️Update on Interpreter Regulations and Applications⚠️

We know many of you have questions about the upcoming sign language interpreter regulations, and we appreciate your feedback. Our goal is to ensure these changes truly benefit the communities we serve.

To allow time for collaboration and to create the best possible solution, we are pausing interpreter applications on the OneStop platform until after the 2026 Maryland General Assembly session, when the development of regulations will be completed. This pause gives us the opportunity to work closely with all stakeholders.

What does this mean for you?

While we wait, we encourage interpreters to continue working toward certification if you haven’t started yet. Taking the exam now will help you be ready when the process resumes.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us([email protected])—we’re here to help!
