Maryland Wine and Grape Promotion Fund Proposal Application


The Maryland Wine and Grape Promotion Fund is a reimbursable grant program to promote the production and consumption of Maryland wine and increase growth of commercial wine grapes in Maryland.

Funding Priorities 

  • Improving the quality and acreage of Maryland grown fruit available to the State’s wineries; 

  • Increasing the market share for Maryland wine;

  • Increasing awareness of Maryland wine and grapes;

  • Developing professional education opportunities to support the wineries and grape growers industries.

Eligibility

  • Maryland nongovernmental organizations/businesses that are registered with Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation and are in good standing to do business in Maryland.

  • Proposals must serve the commercial wine and grape growing industry on a state-wide basis.

Amount

  • Approximately $100,000 is currently available. 

  • Minimum request: $5,000, no maximum request.  

  • Funds are contingent upon available funding.

Matching Funds  

No specific match is required; however, priority will be given to projects that include matching funds and in-kind contributions from other public, private, and nonprofit sources.

If the proposal relates to research, the Commission encourages applicants to seek at least 5% of the total budget from Maryland vineyards and wineries.

Review the steps - read carefully

  1. Create a Maryland OneStop Account

    If you do not have a Maryland OneStop account click Register in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and create a password, then click Register.

  2. Verify Your Maryland OneStop Account Email

    Once you have submitted your information to create an account you will receive an email from onestop.support@maryland.gov. Click the "Verify Your Email" button in the email.

  3. Click Apply Online

    Click the button above to navigate to the online application. Complete all required fields.

  4. Submit your grant application by Thursday, July 15, 2021

    You will be notified through OneStop of the status of your grant application.
