Department of Labor POWER Act
The Providing Our Workers Education and Readiness (POWER) Act was passed by the Maryland General Assembly in 2017. It requires contractors and subcontractors awarded certain construction contracts to support Registered Apprenticeship in the State of Maryland.

What Happens After Submission
Subcontractors and contractors will receive notification that the application has been accepted and if the contractor/project is required to remit payment to the Maryland Department of Labor.
