Clinical Director Registration


Clinical Directors providing assistance to medical cannabis businesses must be registered with MCA as a clinical director.

An individual may be eligible to serve as a clinical director if they meet one or more of the following: 

  1. Be eligible to serve as a certifying provider, as defined in Health-General Article 13-3301, Annotated Code of Maryland.  
    • NOTE: A clinical director for a licensed dispensary may not provide a written certification for medical cannabis to any qualifying patient, pursuant to COMAR 10.62.31.01(E).
  2. Be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy; or
  3. Have substantial education, training, and experience in the medical use of cannabis, as determined by the Administration.

Instructions

Review the steps - read carefully

  1. Certified Health Care Practioner

    Must be a certified health care practitioner, as defined in Health Occupations Article, §1-1001,Annotated Code of Maryland.

  2. Medical License Number

    Must provide Medical License Number and the board applicant is licensed with.

  3. CDS Number

    CDS Number is required if you are licensed with Podiatric Medical Examiners, Board of Nursing, Board of Physicians, or Board of Dental Examiners.
