Maryland Department of Health-issued certification for experienced Community Health Workers (CHW) who have met the requirements to be certified. Certification for CHWs is valid for 2 years from the date of issuance.  


The deadline for CHWs to submit an application for certification based on experience has been suspended until 30 days after the state of emergency has been terminated in Maryland.


CHWs may continue to submit certification applications based on experience until 30 days after the state of emergency has been terminated in Maryland.

  1. CHWs may continue to submit certification applications based on experience until 30 days after the state of emergency has been terminated in Maryland.
