Review the steps - read carefully

  1. Step 1

    You must submit a resume of qualifications and copies of current training certificates along with your application

  2. Step 2

    New or expired applicants will be required to take a written exam based on NFPA 10 with a passing grade of 70%

  3. Step 3

    You will need to create a OneStop account in order to submit this application. Once you are logged into your account, you may click the Apply button above.

What Happens After Submission

  1. AGENCY REVIEW

    Applications will not be reviewed until completed in full and your resume/certificates of qualifications have been received. The State Fire Marshal’s Office will review your application for completeness and eligibility. Please note the agency may return your application for revisions if any information is deemed insufficient.

  2. LICENSE APPROVAL & MAINTENANCE

    If the Office of the State Fire Marshal approves your application, you will be notified of your license number and given a license record on your OneStop dashboard. From your OneStop record, you may update business information, download your certificate and renew your license with the agency.
